Spring-Forward Design Prevents Pre-Loading Damage
The JRDDS-D310PRO-01 adopts a spring-forward mechanism that keeps the push rod retracted until the moment of contact, eliminating pre-loading pressure on terminals before insertion. This design specifically addresses a common failure point: when terminals are pre-compressed, the retaining latch can sink into soft plastic housings, making extraction difficult or impossible. By removing that pre-load force entirely, the tool protects connector housing integrity across repeated use cycles.
Safer Extraction for Small 2.8mm Terminals
For miniature terminals in the 2.8mm series, pre-loading force is a known cause of terminal fold-back during extraction, which disrupts the release sequence and risks damaging the pin. The spring-forward configuration applies zero pressure to the terminal before engagement, ensuring the dual-pin tip meets the terminal cleanly and releases the latch without lateral deflection or deformation — critical when working with small, precision-formed contacts.
Unobstructed Insertion for Easier Operation
Because the push rod remains fully retracted until the tip seats inside the terminal cavity, there is no protruding rod to interfere with alignment during insertion. The tool slides into the connector pin slot cleanly, reducing the skill threshold required and making precise placement more consistent, even in tight multi-pin housings or when working in restricted access conditions.
One-Piece Aluminum Alloy Push Rod Construction
The press cap and push rod are machined as a single aluminum alloy unit, replacing the adhesive-bonded assemblies common in conventional extraction tools. The rear nut and mounting seat use a direct thread-lock method, eliminating bonding processes entirely. The mounting seat can be fully disassembled by the user for independent tip or push rod replacement without specialized tools, reducing long-term maintenance cost.
Built for Automotive Wiring and Harness Repair Professionals
The JRDDS-D310PRO-01 is designed for technicians working on automotive electrical systems, wiring harness production, and connector repair across OEM and aftermarket environments. Its compatibility with TE LEAVYSEAL 2.8, MQS 2.8, Junior Power Timer 2.8 (JPT), Standard Power Timer 2.8 (SPT), RAST 5D, RAST 5 IDC, and AMP MCP 2.8 series terminals covers connector families widely used in engine management, body control, and low-voltage signal circuits. The interchangeable tip system and tool-free disassembly make it a practical choice for both workshop benches and field service applications.
