[BUILT FOR THE BENCH AND THE FIELD

The HT250 is used wherever terminals get crimped and inserted — assembly lines, MRO facilities, harness shops, and field service environments where connector reliability needs to be verified before a system goes back into service. Aerospace, automotive, marine, and industrial wiring applications all involve connectors where an unseated terminal can cause intermittent faults or outright failure; the HT250 gives technicians a fast, repeatable way to confirm every position is properly locked before the job is signed off.

[MATCHED TO YOUR FORCE SPEC — SIX MODELS, ONE FOR EVERY APPLICATION]

Retention force requirements vary widely by contact type and application. The HT250 series covers that range in six steps — from 6.7N for the lightest signal contacts (HT250-1) up to 178N for heavy-duty power contacts (HT250-6). Each model is factory pre-calibrated to its target value and ready to test immediately without any adjustment on your end.

[PRECISION WHERE IT COUNTS — ALUMINUM ALLOY, 32 GRAMS]

Machined from aluminum alloy and weighing just 32g at 124.1×25.4mm, the HT250 is compact enough for bench work or field use without adding bulk to a tool kit. The material provides the corrosion resistance and dimensional stability needed for a tool that gets used repeatedly across different environments and connector types.

[CALIBRATED AT THE FACTORY, CONSISTENT IN THE FIELD

The indicator line position is set during manufacturing to the specified force value — there's nothing to configure before first use. For applications with non-standard retention requirements, custom factory pre-set values can be specified at the time of order.

[SIMPLE TO OPERATE — NO TRAINING REQUIRED]

Using the HT250 takes three steps: select the correct tester tip for the contact size and gender, thread it onto the slide head, and insert it into the connector cavity along the terminal axis. Push forward steadily until the sliding sleeve reaches the indicator line — if the terminal holds position at that point, retention force is confirmed as adequate. The entire check takes seconds per position and requires no special training or calibration setup in the field.

The HT250 accepts threaded tester tips on the slide head — pin tester tips for male contacts, socket tester tips for female contacts. Tips are sold separately and are available for contact sizes 8#, 12#, 16#, 20#, 22#, 22M#, 22D#, 23#, 24#, and 26#. Matching the correct tip to the contact size and gender is required for an accurate retention test.
