Incomplete crimps on coaxial contacts are invisible to the eye and catastrophic in service. The JRD-AS4's ratchet system enforces a full crimp cycle on every actuation: when the crimp meets the required standard, the handles automatically release and open. If the cycle is not completed correctly, the handles remain locked closed. There is no way to extract an under-crimped contact without completing the cycle — making operator error a non-issue on the production bench or in the field.

Designed to MIL-DTL-22520 military standard and machined from stainless steel, the GP295 mounts directly to the tool head and precisely locates each terminal before crimping — ensuring repeatable positioning across M39029/76, M39029/77, and M39029/78 contacts, as well as M24308/14 & M24308/15 Outer Pin & Socket, compatible with -1 for RG/U 196A & 178B and -2 for RG/U 174, 188A & RG/U 136 cables.
