For transparency: I'm not using these (or any other crimpers) in a professional capacity, so i can only comment on them from a consumer/hobbyists level of use.Comparing this crimping tool with my AF8M, this one is really no different in feel, ease of use and general quality. I don't have a AF8 to compare it too, but the build quality and just general feel of the tool is great.Judging by what others have commented on this brand of tools, everyone seems to agree that the tools are almost identical with the much more expensive counterparts they are compatible/compared to.I'm more then happy for my use case (rewire my own vehicles)
Every component is quality, from the selector switch, to the body, to the lock pins, and even the spring. The rubber on each end helps with grip. It's comfortable as well, being small enough to fit in anyone's hand. Compared to others I've used, this one is tiny, yet can handle roughly the same gauges of wires. Of course I haven't tried anything too big.Overall, it's an impressive tool, and I'm positive it'll last quite a while.
Compared to to the Iwiss tool this is smaller, lighter to use, crimps better and takes up less space. The only reason to buy the Iwiss is for crimping heavy gauge like 16 down to 10 awg. Although I see them online they are very expensive, I've never seen a Deustch Term for 14 even used, and I don't even know what applico require that. But the larger handle on the Iwiss is good for heavy gauge.Assuming you are using this for automotive, perhaps controls, marine... It's likely you'd be using 18-28awg. Even more likely 22-26. This is a great, comfort, easy to use tool for light gauge.

He mentioned that the upgraded version is very ergonomic and pleasantly lightweight. The grip fits your hand comfortably and prevents it from sliding off. You can use it with one hand so the other is free to hold the wire. The best feature is the rotary that allows you to choose a precise depth.
